Welcome!
"all we have to do is decide what to do with the time given to us" -Gandalf
Hello! Thanks for coming to check out what I've been up to. I have been on a ton of adventures, too many to count. I am slowly working on getting the rest of my website up-to-date, so bear with me for what I have :)
After I graduated high school, I took two online college classes getting seven credits. I then did a semester with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in 2021, getting 19 college credits. That fall, I attended college, Alaska Pacific University in Anchorage, Alaska. But decided it wasn't my thing just yet. I wanted to focus on becoming an outdoor guide. Something I have always wanted to do since I was a little girl.

Barista times
I am a former barista at the local coffee shop, Bering Tea and Coffee.
I started working here in September 2021. I moved to Kennicott, AK for the summer in May 2022. After spending most of the summer in Kennicott, I came back and started back up at the shop on October 3rd. In May 2023, I left for the summer again to Ketchikan, AK. Sadly the coffee shop is closed for good, but I got to work for the full month of December 2023.
Guiding in Kennicott, Alaska
Outdoor Glacier Hiking/ Ice Climbing/ Packrafting Intern Guide until August 10th, 2022
I was super stoked to work in Kennicott as an outdoor guide with the Kennicott Wilderness Guides. It had been my dream job since I was about 11 years old. Unfortunately, I didn't do much guiding on the glacier. During the training in May, my right ankle was giving me pain, turns out I had a torn ligament. But I was able to do a ton of office work and tried to get out on the glacier as much as I could. In August, I decided to make a hard decision to leave the season early and get surgery. So by the time snow came around, I would be able to ski.
Guiding in Ketchikan, Alaska
Outdoor Kayak/Zip line Guide May 2023-October 2023
Although I loved being in Kennicott, I decided to go work in Ketchikan with Southeast Exposure. I have lived in Alaska my whole life, but haven't spent too much time in southeast AK. I'm happy to be working in a new environment and doing what I love, kayaking. I also do some zip line tours, and before coming here I have never gone zip lining.
In my free time
I like to get out and skijor with my amazing dogs, or go out downhill skiing with my dog; every Tuesday/Friday I go to our recreational center and play indoor soccer; go out and watch the night sky dance; spend good quality time with family and friends; and learn more about photography.

Photos of my adventures. Many many more pictures coming soon.
Skiing and Biathlon days
I was put on skis at a very young age, and from then on, I never stopped. It became a big part of my life. I was introduced to biathlon in third grade, of course, I didn't know what I was doing. In fourth grade, I started to compete in races. (2012-2021)
I got more and more invested in biathlon. I did many races and training camps throughout; Alaska, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Minnesota, New York, and Vermont.
My big competitions around the United States; US Youth/Junior Team Trials for World Championships (Jericho, Vermont, Dec. 2019; Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Dec. 2017; Jericho, VT, Dec. 2016; Anchorage, AK, Dec. 2015.); Roller Ski National Championships (Jericho, VT 2019)
I qualified for week-long international competitions, called the Arctic Winter Games (AWG). In Nuuk, Greenland in 2016, and Northwest Territories, Canada in 2018. AWG is a circumpolar competition for northern and arctic athletes. There are eight contingencies that participate; Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut, Kalaallit Nunaat, Nunavik-Quebec, Northern Alberta, Sápmi, and Alaska. It's an opportunity for athletes to compete in friendly competitions while sharing cultural values from northern regions around the world.
Pictures coming in the near future.
NOLS 2021
I got to spend three amazing months down around Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah. There were five sections throughout the course; Wilderness First Responder (Wyoming); Winter Skiing in the Absaroka Mountains (Wyoming); Canoeing through the Green & San Juan Rivers (Utah); Canyoneering through the Ceder Mesa (Utah); Rock Climbing in Colorado.
Photos are yet to come, I need to find where I put the folders.
